From the time our alarms go off bright and early in the morning to the time we head to bed, we get to constantly share life with fellow believers, primarily our D-Group (short for discipleship group). With one focus, one reason we came down here this summer, we are consistently pushing each other to grow, serve, and love God more deeply.
Purpose of Kaleo: To establish and equip college students to walk with God and make disciples.
How exactly are we are we doing this? Life-on-Life.
Here’s a few snapshots from our week.
Day 6: After a day of work (Tiffany at Old Time Pottery, Alyson at Chick-Fil-A, Me at Banana Republic and Sara will be at McDonald’s), cooking dinner together, training on how to read our bibles, nightly prayer times—basically we are like a family.

Day 7: Tuesday are group bible study nights—before starting our Team Leader, Anna, was able to join us for dinner. She introduced us to the delights of ‘One Hot Cookie.’ Recipe to come soon!

Day 8: A night of excitement—one-to-one time with the ladies, watched Sara’s state FFA retiring address ‘Fuel’ online, and a puzzle invite to Friday’s adventure.

Day 9: Thursday Night is T.N.T. A night for the entire project to get together and invite friends made here in Gulf Shores to a night of worship and a speaker.

Day 10: Friday night group date: Donning our hunting gear we had a night of local seafood and a ferocious crab hunt. #highlightofsummer

Day 11: Sara MADE IT! Our group is complete!
Day 12: Living a few miles from the beach makes for the perfect picnic after church and Sunday School!
